How to make apple crumble, what products will be needed

Dessert recipe with English notes:

  • 1 kg of chopped peeled apples;

  • 1 tablespoon of water;

  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice;

  • 1 glass of white sugar;

  • ¾ cup of flour;

  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon;

  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg;

  • ¼ teaspoon of salt;

  • ½ stick of butter.

The cooking process

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius.

Put the sliced apples in the mold. Mix the water and lemon juice and sprinkle over the apples.

Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in a bowl. Add the pieces of butter and mix with a mixer/blender until the mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over apples.

Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown, about 45 minutes.

It tastes best with a scoop of creamy ice cream.

To prepare crumble, it is better to choose hard apples, they will not fall apart when processed at high temperatures. How to make the dessert low-calorie, as well as more useful, it is worth replacing shortbread with oatmeal. Oatmeal becomes crispy when baked and acquires subtle notes of nutty taste.
