Summer vacation is a beautiful time for schoolchildren and their teachers. But for parents, summer is a difficult time because it is necessary to consider vacations for their children and prepare them for the new school year. One of the main tasks is to organize a schoolchild's workplace competently: tidy up the desk space or replace it with a new one more appropriate for the child's age and create an atmosphere that will help him develop his abilities and engage in creativity. In this article, we will tell you how to organize a schoolboy's place effectively, which is ideal for solving educational tasks and reading, as well as for rest and games.

We organize a workplace for a schoolchild correctly!

1. We choose the perfect table

The main rule is to choose a table corresponding to the student's age. It would be best if you did not buy a computer desk for a child in the hope that it will be helpful to him in the future.

  • A desk with the possibility of adjusting the working surface is suitable for a student in the junior class;

  • For a middle-class schoolboy — a classic rectangular or corner desk with various drawers and shelves;

  • For a high school student, a practical computer desk with a workspace divided into several sections is needed to place a computer, keyboard, speakers, printer, and stationery.

2. Choose a comfortable chair

The main selection criterion is safety. The chair should be moderately soft, reasonably high back, stable, and not of the office type. You can organize a comfortable workplace for a schoolchild with the help of an orthopaedic chair;

3. We work with lighting

The ideal option is natural lighting: the table should be placed near the window so that it is to the left of the child. If the child is left-handed, then right. The workplace should be well-lit. The presence of roller blinds on the windows is welcome.

As for artificial lighting, you can choose a modern lamp with brightness control or any other with LEDs as its source;

4. We create an atmosphere

When the work on installing furniture and setting up lighting is finished, it's time to move on to the most exciting stage of organizing a child's place — creating a unique atmosphere in which you want to learn and develop.

You can use the following accessories to decorate the workspace: original pencil and pen holders, note boards — cork and slate, magnetic, sewn, knitted or glued paper and cardboard organizers for placing stationery and other small things: cloth paintings, funny children's drawings. An adult schoolboy's desk can be decorated with a calendar, a clock, an organizer for folders and papers, a globe or a world map, and a stand for gadgets.

How to organize a practical and stylish workplace is a question not only parents should ask. A schoolboy should also take a direct part in creating a personal corner and be interested in its design and regular cleaning. It allows the child to learn self-organization and get used to responsibility. For parents of a high school student, the range of tasks is reduced only to purchasing and installing furniture — everything else can be entrusted to their adult child.
